The Tudors

New book on the Tudor dynasty

Former Gilbert Magazine contributing editor Gerry Meyer has written a comprehensive, in-depth book on England’s most infamous royals, The Tudors: The Complete Story of England’s Most Notorious Dynasty. American Chesterton Society president Dale Ahlquist calls it “an impressive achievement,” adding, “There is no one in all of history who did as much damage to as many things as [Henry VIII].”

Dale’s full review will appear in the next issue of Gilbert Magazine (not the issue that just went to press, but the one that will go to press in a few weeks), but it is available now online and in book stores. A hefty stocking stuffer at 640 pages, it would make the perfect gift for, well, just about anyone. Especially magazine editors.

I wonder if he was granted access to Henry VIII’s personal papers, journals and diaries. Very few people have had access to those and one can’t write a complete biography without reading those.

The best way to find that out is to buy the book.

LOL I know that. I’m already in the middle of 8 books right now. I suppose one more wouldn’t make much of a difference and this one is only 640 pages. I assume it’s on Amazon.
