What a strange and wonderful coincidence, as I just ordered this book, used from Amazon! I was perusing our local used book store this past weekend and came across a collection called “The New Catholic Treasury of Wit and Humor”. Imagine my surprise and delight to discover that it contained a short gem by Chesterton entitled “The Roots of the World”, which according to the Acknowledgements, originated from “Lunacy and Letters”. My bookstore find also contained other such unusual stories as “I heard jokes behind the Iron Curtain” by Nino Lo Bello and “Oodles of Noodles in Hong Kong” by Elwood D Baumann.
